What's the worst that would happen if I were to wash my shoes even though...?

... on the label in the shoe it says Do Not Machine Wash? wouldn%26#039;t it be alright if I did the gentle cycle with cold water?


they are blue canvas new balances w/ white interior, but if the waters cold then it shouldn%26#039;t bleed...

it%26#039;d be fine to wash them, just don%26#039;t dry them. let them air dry. if you stick %26#039;em in the dryer, they%26#039;ll usually get a little tighter and be much more snug on your feet.
Reply:I always wash my shoes in a washing machine and don%26#039;t encounter any problem.
Reply:It would be ok to wash in cold water. But me personally I%26#039;d wash them in warm.
Reply:I can%26#039;t be sure, but I suspect the soles may delaminate from the insoles because of the adhesive not being completely waterproof. Sponging them off with a moist sponge is probably safe, but plunging them into a washing machine for ten minutes is not.
