Getting sticky labels off shoes?

Is there an EASY way to get those horrid white sticky labels off the bottom of new shoes?

Getting sticky labels off shoes?
Lighter fluid dissolves the adhesive very easily indeed. I use it all the time and it works like a charm!
Reply:Lakeland do a great product called sticky-stuff remover. it works like a charm on anything sticky - from stickers to chewing gum.
Reply:peel it off straight away, when you buy them. its alot harder to get rid of them once you%26#039;ve worn it. or just rub oil then peel it off.
Reply:use a hair dryer on a hot setting, this melts the glue and the label should come off
Reply:A little %26#039;white spirit or turpentine%26#039; should dissolve the gum .

Ive worked as a painter/decorator for 25 yrs and use it to get labels/stickers off doors/ walls etc . Also works on that yukky gum left on by labels on other products. Good luck
Reply:Alcohol might damage the leather material. Best thing is to remove the sticker right away and RE-USE the same sticker on the same spot to remove left over stickiness. Keep doing this until all stickiness is gone. It works!
Reply:use alcohol or finger nail polish remover, works ever time!
Reply:Use Goo-B-Gone!!!
Reply:Peel off what you can, then use fingernail polish remover to get rid of the rest.
Reply:Washing up liquid works quite well - use it neat with a sponge scourer. Or if you%26#039;ve already peeled the labels off and there%26#039;s still some glue left, blu tack works quite well.
Reply:I find Nail varnish remover works wonders, but this works better if you remove the label the day you buy the shoes.
Reply:There%26#039;s this one thing called %26quot;Goo-be-gone%26quot; or something like that that removes lables.....
Reply:usually putting mineral oil on it and letting it set for a while should make it easy to scrape off.
Reply:oil of olay
Reply:use a hot damp towel
Reply:Alcohol swabs!!......they work wonders on most everything!
Reply:Well i hate companies that stick the stickers at the bottom of the shoes. They do it just to annoy you.

I used to spend hours picking bits of the sticky label, leaving a layer glue and fingers red raw, with nails snapped.

So my tip to you is something, maybe some of us never even thought of....

...you know those yellow washing-up sponges that your mum uses with the funny green thing on called a %26#039;scourer%26#039;.

Get a hot tub of soapy water and scrub your hardest, it gets the label and that awful glue off in seconds.
Reply:Put some shoe polish on them to camoflage them until they come off of their own accord.
Reply:Babyoil !
Reply:what ever you do dont use your ands try and get a shary blade and warm water see if that works!!! good luck
Reply:lighter fluid works great for getting they sticky residue left behind from stickers
Reply:just wear them with labels on and they will wear off real soon
Reply:use hot water on the sticker
Reply:wet a cloth in warm water only damp and start scrubbing. Peel what you can first before making it wet then wen its all gone there will be bits all over the place so get a dry tissue and wipe it off.
