Best way of cleaning stickers off bottom of shoes?

Does anyone have any magic tricks for removing the sticky from the bottom of shoes once youve peeled the labels off? Ive tried baby wipes and nail varnish remover, but nothings shifting it!

I was told many years ago that an aerosol spray works wonders and certainly has for the items I have wanted to remover. Apparently they used to use it in shops when prices increased and labels were altered!! Any spray works - furniture, fly killer, hair spray. Hope it works for you.
Reply:good old warm water and fairy liquid. fill up a bowl full of warm soapy water and leave shoes in their for about 15 minutes. take them out, get a sponge scourer and it should life the stickers off. those stickers are a right bloody nuisance, arent they?
Reply:Beautiful, fresh, natural ORANGE OIL! This is excellent for removing %26#039;sticky%26#039; goo off most surfaces, without damage to the surface. Should be available in most supermarket laundry/cleaning isles.

Reply:Spray on WD40 leave for 5 mins, then scrape off with an old credit card.
Reply:I have been told mayonaise will get it off, I have never tried it though its because it has oil in it you could try it will wash off ok. Good luck you have to leave it twenty minutes then wash off.
Reply:White vinegar on a cloth. Works every time.

Reply:Furniture polish is great for removing sticky residue. Spray it on, leave it for about 30 seconds to a minute and wipe of again.
