Especially from the bottoms of new shoes %26amp; from some particularly sticky labels in my car which has leather interior? Ta!
Does anyone know how to remove the sticky stuff left behind from stickers %26amp; labels?
any kind of body lotion. My daughter went for days with Avery labels on her. Nothing could get it off. A friend at a store took her to the cosmetics counter and used some lotion. I felt stupid after that. But now, I use lotion to take that crud off that price tags and other labels leaves on everything.
Reply:Dip the clothes in concentrated sulphuric acid along with the wearer for two hours. And the stain is gone along with the cloth and the wearer.
THIS IS JUST A JOKE. DONT TRY IT. SULPHURIC ACID CAN CAUSE SERIOUS BURNS.
Reply:In the UK try meths, in the USA try rubbing alcohol in either countries try gin/vodka works quite well I was wondering if you could sue the people who affix those labels to your lapel, might make them think twice. You think I%26#039;m joking, my sister had a sticker affixed to a suede jacket, forgot about the label, put the jacket away and eventually when she removed the jacket from the closet the sticker had destroyed the suede completely.
Reply:rubbing alcohol
Reply:You can use baby oil to get it off of the bottom of your shoes. Alcohol, lighter fluid, and nail polish remover will also remove the sticky label glue but be careful about what you apply it to because it can damage certain types of surfaces. In your leather car interior you can use furniture polish wipes or spray to remove the label goo.
Reply:try a ice cube rub it onto the surface and hopefully it will come off
Reply:Use skin so soft from Avon or baby oil. Just put a little on a cotton ball and gently rub. Works everytime. No cooking oil!!!
Reply:Don%26#039;t you hate that!
I use eucalyptus oil on a cotton ball. The oil should not harm leather %26amp; it smells good too.
Reply:I%26#039;ve used WD40 before and that works really well...always try a test area first though!
Reply:Try some bath oil. Put a little on a rag and dab at the sticky stuff. I%26#039;ve used it on many things with good luck, but I can%26#039;t say I%26#039;ve used it on leather. It should work.
Reply:I use windex. Random I know but it always works for me. Good luck!
Reply:A light spray of WD40. Leave for a couple of minutes and wipe off. Works for al types of glue residue.
Reply:I remove the sticky residue left from the removal of labels on the soles of shoes with a little tiny drop of neat washing up liquid, but as for your leather seats in your car I cannot help with that one - sorry.
Reply:nail varnish remover
Reply:ooooh yes get a hair dryer and heat it up hey prestooooo its done xxxx
Reply:I use lemon oil. Let it sit on the object for 5 minutes or so and the label should come right off.
Reply:There is a product called Goo Gone that is an adhesive remover. They sell it at Wal-Mart in the household cleaner section. It costs about $3. It will remove the sticky stuff (as well as grease or oil) without damaging your clothes, leather, or shoes.
Reply:you can get some stuff from kleeneeze called sticky stuff remover. its brilliant on anything
Reply:I used to work for Kleeneze and sticky stuff remover is the best
I highly recommend it
Reply:Nail varnish remover.
But wash the nail varnish remover off after with a damp cloth.
Reply:WD-40...
Reply:Try alcohol.
Reply:Lighter fluid
Reply:for your shoes i would suggest nail polish remover, not sure that is a good idea for leather though. you could try a bit of white vinegar?
Reply:Good old W-D 40 !!
Reply:Use %26quot;Pure silicone%26quot; spray available at any hdwr. store, the silicone melts off the adhesive, scrub w/ comet afterwards, if it on a shoe, to prevent slipping.
Reply:the cheapest most effective way is to use rubbing alcohol....just put some on a cotton ball and rub the area....
Reply:spray on wd40, let soak about 10 minutes, and scrub off.
Reply:we use nail varnish remover. it works well
Reply:Goo gone. Great product for the problem.
Reply:I use ethanol wipes (actually, the wipes you get to remove stick-on backless bras works well too!). Nail polish remover might also work. Don%26#039;t use a tissue cos little pieces will stick to it.
